For Meghan and Thomas, Tampa wasn’t just a backdrop—it was the heart of their celebration. Every detail of their wedding day paid homage to the place where their love story unfolded. From illustrated maps of the city to refreshing citrus details and riverside views, the couple infused their day with all the things that make Tampa home. Meghan shared,

“The more your day reflects you, the better—and for us, that meant Tampa through and through,”

Their wedding at the Tampa River Center was fun, heartfelt, and thoughtfully personal—just like the city they adore.

The Wedding Day

The couple said “I do” along the water, with the Tampa skyline glistening in the background. The outdoor ceremony was framed by a white and powder blue floral arch by Ava Elise Events, adding a coastal-meets-classic flair to the riverside setting. The couple’s pup, thoughtfully watched over by Pet Ventures, made a sweet appearance during the ceremony, wearing a floral collar that matched the arrangements.

Once inside the reception space at the Tampa River Center, guests were met with a modern garden party vibe complete with disco flair. Amanda of Olive Tree Weddings coordinated every detail, transforming the industrial venue with soft draping, tailored tablescapes, and a stress-free flow that made the day feel effortless and fun.

Tables were dressed in soft blue linens and glowing candlelight, with lush white and blue florals by Ava Elise Events filling the room. The sweetheart table—framed by the largest floral pieces of the day—offered a romantic pause within the celebration’s vibrant setting.

Decor and rentals from On The Move, Gabro Event Services, and CD Linen added the polished structure needed to bring the couple’s vision to life. A black and white checkered dance floor grounded the space in vintage flair while complementing the light, airy palette.

Throughout the venue, guests discovered custom-illustrated elements designed by the bride herself— Tampa maps printed on tote bags, tea towels, and hats, boutique-style displayed on vintage shelving. These doubled as thoughtful favors and sweet conversation starters.

Hannah T Photography captured the entire day in a light, timeless, and joy-filled style. From intimate getting-ready moments at the JW Marriott Tampa to golden hour portraits by the water, every frame told a candid and heartfelt story.

Curate Entertainment’s DJ KO kept the energy high, spinning nostalgic bangers and crowd-favorite hits that filled the dance floor all night long. One of the biggest surprises? A choreographed ABBA performance from both sets of parents, complete with props and all the drama—an unforgettable nod to Mamma Mia that had everyone laughing and cheering.

The bar and buffet were both curated by Good Food Tampa Bay, offering flavorful dishes and citrus-infused water stations that added a bright, Florida-forward touch to cocktail hour. Followed by the sweet tabletop cakes that were beautifully crafted by Allie Cakes.

The bride wore a stunning gown by Chosen by Khya, purchased at The Bridal Finery in Orlando, paired with accessories from Etsy and Amazon. Her rings were from Melanie Casey and Brilliant Earth, while the groom’s ring came from Brilliant Earth as well. Her hair and makeup—along with the bridal party’s glam—was done by the talented team at Femme Akoi, who left everyone feeling like a million bucks!

Custom cakes by Allie Cakes included a timeless, lacy-textured bride’s cake and a personalized groom’s cake that reflected Thomas’s favorite things. For extra sweetness, guests enjoyed a curated dessert table arranged by the couple.

Transportation was provided by Star Trolley, and the rehearsal dinner was held at the charming Oxford Exchange, with catering from the venue’s renowned kitchen. Adding a memorable artistic flair to the reception was Maya Christine Art, who created live guest sketches throughout the night. Ruthie of Julious Daughters served as the couple’s content creator, capturing candid moments for behind-the-scenes storytelling.

The entire wedding weekend felt like a celebration of the city and love that brought Meghan and Thomas together.

These girls were bustling dresses, pulling corsets, holding my train, grabbing bouquets, fixing any little things that went wrong along the way and kept our spirits high ALL day long!”

Between the DIY details, the emotional moments, and a few surprises—including a Mamma Mia-inspired performance from their parents—their day was truly one for the books.
