There’s something magnetic about Longboat Key—the quiet breeze, the rhythmic ocean, the way the sand warms beneath your feet just before sunset. It’s the kind of place that feels made for moments that matter, which is exactly why Cassie Talarico and Ryan Ruffing chose it as the setting for their elegant and joy-filled wedding on May 3, 2025.
Cassie and Ryan’s wedding wasn’t just beautiful—it was full of intention. From the soft blush and ivory floral arrangements by Flowers by Fudgie to the crystal-clear design details curated by Swanky Soiree, every choice was made to create a warm, elevated space where family and friends could truly celebrate. The couple opted for Swanky Soiree’s month-of coordination services, and the team stepped in seamlessly to pull together the final touches—managing vendors, guiding the timeline, and ensuring Cassie and Ryan were present in every moment.
Held at The Resort at Longboat Key Club, both the ceremony and reception took advantage of the property’s breathtaking beach views and effortless coastal sophistication. The resort’s in-house catering and bartending teams provided an exceptional culinary experience—from fresh seafood bites to signature drinks that flowed well into the night. The couple hosted their rehearsal dinner at Drift, offering guests a delicious preview of the weekend ahead.
Cassie, radiant in a classic Demetrios gown from Sorelle Bridal, got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids wearing soft-toned dresses from Azazie. Her hair, lovingly done by her own mother, and makeup by Posh Bridal, gave her a timeless and natural look that glowed against the waterfront backdrop. Posh Bridal also took care of hair and makeup for the bridal party, tying the morning together with a sense of calm and care.
When it came time to walk down the aisle, the scene was pure romance. Elegant rentals from A Chair Affair and linen selections by BBJ La Tavola created a graceful foundation for the day’s design. Lighting by Swanky Soiree bathed the space in soft warmth as Father Noel led the ceremony, his words thoughtful and heartfelt.
One of the most sentimental touches came from Cassie’s Italian heritage: each guest received a small bundle of five Jordan almonds at their seat—a traditional gift symbolizing health, wealth, happiness, fertility, and longevity.
The reception was full of joyful energy, thanks to music by DJ Noah Grey, who kept the dance floor packed from the couple’s choreographed first dance to the final song of the night. Cassie and Ryan had taken dance lessons in advance, and their performance—set to a playful, upbeat track—was a highlight of the evening.
Their photographers, Weddings by Sal and Bella, were more than just vendors. According to the couple, they were instrumental in keeping the day on track—helping the groomsmen get ready, keeping everyone calm, and capturing every meaningful moment with artistry and ease. Alongside them, Pine and Forge worked behind the scenes to film the day as it unfolded, preserving the full story through video.
As guests explored the reception space, they discovered signage and custom invitation details created by Invitations by Whitney, whose calligraphy added an elegant, personal touch to the celebration. Cassie’s rings, both hers and Ryan’s, were from Noah Gabriel, a choice that felt close to home and true to their style. Meanwhile, Ryan looked sharp in a classic tux from Men’s Wearhouse, complementing the overall coastal sophistication of the day.
Dessert was a team effort—Cakes by Ron provided both the bride’s and groom’s cakes, while Cassie’s grandmother baked an assortment of sweet treats that added a deeply personal touch to the dessert table. There was even a playful nod to Florida’s tropical vibe with coconuts served by Surfing Coconut and a stunning ice sculpture crafted by Ice Pro, giving guests a sense of fun and celebration.
Between events, guests stayed at Lido Beach Resort and were transported in style by Siesta Trolley, ensuring every part of the weekend flowed with ease.
Looking back, Cassie shared that her favorite moment was their first dance: “We picked a fun song and just had so much fun dancing to it.” And while wedding planning comes with its share of stress, her advice to other couples is simple—don’t forget to have fun. Because at the heart of it all, that’s what their wedding truly was: a celebration of love, connection, and joy, with every vendor playing a thoughtful role in bringing that vision to life.
