Alice shared: “My earrings were designed by my mom and made from a brooch that belonged to my maternal great grandmother. My beaded purse was my mom’s from her own wedding. I had my blue shoes, but sewn into my dress was also a blue bird; a heart-shaped piece of my older brother’s shirt that he used to love. I had two handkerchiefs: one i received this year from my sweet aunt and one was bought for Jimmy by his grandmother, and was stitched into a bonnet that he wore as an infant. I had it wrapped around my bouquet. My engagement ring was designed by Jimmy, using the center stone from his grandmother’s ring, and honoring the original style.”
